Add your URL
Open Write → Add a record → URL, then paste a Linktree, Instagram, tip jar, or anything with a web address.
Hold still
For most android devices, hold the back center of the phone on the product until the app confirms. for iPhones, hold the top edge of the phone on the product until the app confirms.
Where to hold your phone
The chip sits in the center of the piece. Antenna location is the part most people guess wrong.

Use the center of the back
Lay the middle of the phone flat against the piece and keep it still for a second. Most Android readers sit behind the center of the back glass.
What should it open?
Anything with a URL. NTAG213 chips have room for a normal web address, and you can change it as often as you like: show night, new handle, new tip link, new era.

Full walkthrough
If you want the slower version, here it is in order.
- Install NFC Tools. It is free. This is the app that writes your link onto the chip.
- Tap Write, then Add a record, then URL. Paste the full link, including
https://, for examplehttps://linktr.ee/yourname. - Write, then hold the phone on the piece until the app says it succeeded. If nothing happens, slide a few millimeters and try again.
- Test it. Close the app, then tap the piece again. You should get a notification with your link. Open it once so you know the spelling is right.
- Need a new URL later? Repeat write with the new address. The tag can be rewritten hundreds of times and keeps the data with no battery.
